Introduction to the Stories
Some form of guilt or another got me into more awkward situations than I enjoyed counting. Whether it was because of my 'familial-piety' cloud choking me during my sour hours or because of my ability to climb fences at will, I always ended up being able to predict the consequences. I'm an asshole.
One time, I set the whole city which I inhabit on fire. The fire got every living thing angry (to Hell with emotions!): my family, two squirrels, some other animals, some people, and even me. Those people and the animals left the city, excluding me. The animals came back the next day, but the people wouldn't return until I died—that's what they told me. Mind you, this didn't make me happy; it was nice before the fire.
My parents called me Robert Deighler before the fire. A couple of important events (by their standards) would happen during that time. The following is what those events were:
A lot of working
A lot of running.
A lot of smiling.
A lot of dancing.
...
I told you it was nice before the fire.
